Ribston School Practice Interviews

05 Jul 2017

Aimed at helping young people in years 10 to 13, these practice interview sessions help prepare young people for that all important interview whether it be for a job, internship or University placement. Students will benefit from hands-on practical advice and experience in the form of a mock-interview and feedback with advice about what to wear, how to behave, what to expect and how to prepare to make a positive impression with a prospective employer.

This programme typically lasts for 5 hours and fits with the school timetable. Each interview session lasts for 30 minutes, including oral and written feedback.

GFirst LEP Banking & Finance Clinic

The GFirst LEP Banking and Finance Business Group, in partnership with the Growth Hub, are offering businesses free tailored financial support and advice at the Growth Hub, Gloucester.

In a 30 minute, one-to-one session, we will be able to offer you the expertise of members from the GFirst LEP Banking and Finance Business Group, Growth Hub business guides and local business experts operating in the finance sector. This normally includes senior representatives from Banks, Community Development Financial Institutions, Peer to Peer, Crowdfunding, Angel Investors and Grant Specialists.

Irrespective of whether you are a new start-up business or an established large plc, our panel of leading industry experts are ready to hear from you, about what is holding your business back from hitting its growth goals.

Hartpury Corporate Challenge Cup 2017

9 - 5pm

The popular corporate touch tournament returns in 2017. For the third time, Hartpury College and 7 Bamboos Rugby will welcome 24 corporate teams to compete for the trophies. Previously teams from all industries have taken place which makes. The event is not just a fantastic opportunity to bond with your fellow staff, but also to network with many other companies. Entrepreneur Network Event: Introducing Start and Grow Enterprise (SaGE)

Do you have a burning ambition to run your own business or a fantastic business idea? Perhaps you’ve just started your own business and are now looking for support to grow?

Run by the University of Gloucestershire with ERDF funding, Start and Grow Enterprise (SaGE), is a new project supporting entrepreneurs and start-ups to validate and develop new ideas, learn about the steps needed to take these forward, and get on the way to creating successful enterprises.

Through a tailored programme of workshops, enterprise reviews and networking events you will be able to access relevant contacts, advice and resources for your growing business.

To be eligible for the SaGE project you need to be based in Gloucestershire, and if already an SME trading or registered for no more than three years.

If this sounds of interest to you, please join us to find out more and be a part of the first SaGE networking event on Wednesday 16th August, 5.30-7.30pm, at The Growth Hub, Gloucester. This is a free event but booking is essential, please see details below.

Entrepreneur Network event; happening monthly, this is an ongoing network for entrepreneurs and start-ups to access and share support and inspiration. Each month will involve a talk and enterprise showcase, relevant and fun activities, and delicious refreshments! The first network is on:

• Wednesday 16th August, 5.30-7.30pm, at The Growth Hub, Oxstalls Campus, Gloucester, GL2 9HW

Start-up weekends/days; these are two day events designed to provide inspiration, skills and a place to test new ideas for pre-start-ups and start-ups. By the end of the event you will have developed a lean business plan and have clear next steps for taking your ideas forward. Upcoming Start-up weekends/days:

• Saturday 9th & 10th September, 9-4.30pm both days, at The Growth Hub (as above)

• Monday 18th & 19th September, 9-4.30pm both days, at The Growth Hub (as above)

Enterprise Review; an amazing chance to meet one-to-one with a business growth advisor, and a relevant university academic, to focus on the specific needs of your enterprise with the aim of unlocking potential. From this meeting you will receive a report highlighting priority actions and next steps.
