This course is for you if you're aspiring to start a business in Digital and Information Technology but don’t know where to start. This two-day course will help you find the answers and introduce you to a like minded Tech crowd.

When is the course?

Monday 22nd & Tuesday 23rd October, 10:00am-4.30pm.

Who is this course for?

*The Digital & Tech Start-up course is for you if...

- You have a tech business idea you're itching to turn into reality

- You're studying a digital or tech related subject at University and want to know more about how you could turn your skills into your career and work for yourself

- You have the germ of a business idea in your head and want to explore it more with tech business owners and experts

- You're based in Gloucestershire.

What will I do during the weekend?

- Explore and test your idea with successful business owners and experts from the tech industry

- Find out how to take your first steps towards setting up a successful business

- Create a simple one page plan for your new business

- Gain new skills and knowledge you can use to turn your dream into a reality

- Meet other budding entrepreneurs and start your journey together!

By the end of the weekend you will have clear next steps for taking your ideas forward and making it happen!

Who's taking this course?

Activities are led by experts from the Business School at the University of Gloucestershire, with input from specialists and business owners from the technology sector who have been where you are now.

Where is it held and how do I get there?

This course is held at the C11 Cyber Security and Digital Innovation Centre, a unique combination of high-spec serviced offices, business incubation support and secure cyber facilities. With access to the Centre's expert cyber community, it's the ideal place to launch your business.

We will be running a coach service from Oxstalls and Park Campuses on both days to get you there for 9.45am, and to drop you off after 4.30pm.

If you're not catching the coach from the University campus in Gloucester or Cheltenham, please see below for the directions by car.

Berkeley Green is located on the banks of the River Severn, midway between junction 13 and 14 of the M5, and 1 mile from the town of Berkeley.

Getting there:

By car - On approaching The Gloucestershire Science and Technology Park turn into the carpark, turn right, continue straight through the signs for 'no unauthorised access' with the John Huggett Engineering Hall in front of you, follow the road round to the left, then to the right, and you'll see the C11 building straight ahead of you. There is a small access driveway to the C11 carpark, slightly hidden by bushes.

Start-up Weekends are offered by Start and Grow Enterprise, a University of Gloucestershire project part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
