Cotswolds Tourism Awards 2014 Enter Their Fourth Year

As the peak summer tourism season comes to a close, Cotswolds Tourism is launching its annual hunt for the very best of the local tourism industry, in preparation for its annual tourism awards.

The Cotswolds Tourism Awards were created to celebrate the hard work and energy that our tourism businesses providers put in to an industry that delivers around £1bn per annum to the local economy.  The 2014 awards will be announced at the end of 2013 and, for the second year running, will feed through local business winners to the national VisitEngland awards.

Sarah Tyler, of Cotswolds Tourism and GFirst LEP says that “Businesses who have achieved well in 2013 and feel that they are the cream of the crop are invited to enter – or possibly recommend other businesses. Categories cover everything that you might expect, from B&Bs to Events. The Awards are well established now and winning gives our businesses a hotline to the high profile National Awards.”

The deadline for entry into the awards is October 31st and full details/application forms are available from www.cotswolds.com/awards  where you will be able to find further information and be able to download an application form.

Judging will take place in November and the winners will be announced in December.  Cotswold Gold winners will go forward to the National awards in January.

Isobel Milne, Commercial Services Officer at the Corinium Museum and one of our 2013 winners says that “We were delighted to receive the 2013 Gold Award for Small Visitor Attraction and 2013 Silver Award for the Cirencester Visitor Information Centre. It was great to receive recognition for the hard work of the team and we were delighted to then go on to receive Silver for Small Visitor Attraction at the National Awards. It gave us an opportunity to showcase the Corinium Museum to the public and reinforced the high quality experience which we aspire to offer to all our visitors.”
