GFirst LEP Annual Review 2018

Gloucestershire’s Local Enterprise Partnership, GFirst LEP would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended our seventh Annual Review event at Hartpury University on Wednesday 14th November. With record-breaking numbers of over 350 delegates attending including an exciting mix of students and young entrepreneurs.

It was an excellent networking opportunity and a chance to see just how GFirst LEP is future-proofing the county project by project. It is an exciting time to live and work in Gloucestershire with GFirst LEP leading the way and creating a Local Industrial Strategy (LIS) for Gloucestershire to drive forward our next period of Economic Growth for the county. The LIS will highlight all the relevant opportunities in our county and identify what is truly unique and special about Gloucestershire.

David Owen, Chief Executive of GFirst LEP said; “ It’s been great to see record numbers of delegates turn out for our Annual Review, now really is the time to engage with the LEP and help drive forward the next exciting period of growth for the county.

“There are three easy ways to engage with us; join one of our Business Groups for a taster session and contribute your ideas, volunteer a few hours with our Education Team and help empower and inspire the next generation of business leaders and if you are under 40, please spend some time with us and give us your valuable input into developing our Local Industrial Strategy for the county.”

Russell Marchant, Vice-Chancellor of Hartpury University and Principal of Hartpury College said; “We’re extremely proud to have been the venue for GFirst LEP’s 2018 Annual Review as we celebrate Hartpury’s 70th anniversary and so soon after we were granted university title. We were delighted to update guests on the progress of our Agri Tech Centre, which will provide access to the latest smart farming techniques, for which support from GFirst LEP has been crucial.”
