Martin Surl, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gloucestershire is looking for a new Chief Executive to help take his Police & Crime Plan forward. 

As the head of paid service and statutory monitoring officer you will have responsibility for holding the Commissioner to account.

You will be an astute senior leader who will also:

  • Support the Commissioner in the development and delivery of strategies, policies and business plans.
  • Support, brief and occasionally represent the Commissioner at national, regional and local levels.
  • Be up to date with government policy and legislation with a clear understanding of national, regional and local statutory and regulatory bodies and an ability to brief the Commissioner on the impact of relevant legislation and public service reform issues.

 

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and change management skills and be able to build and motivate high performing teams internally and externally.

You will also have first class communication and presentational skills with an ability to engage audiences and turn creative, innovative strategy into effective action with colleagues and partners.
