Intelligent Innovators competition at GCHQ invites young people to pitch new business ideas to judges
Year 9 (ages 13-14) pupils from schools across the county are being encouraged to come up with new business ideas for the re-run of a successful Intelligent Innovators competition to be held at GCHQ in Cheltenham next year.

Cloud2020 selected to support Gloucestershire Superfast Business Programme
Cloud2020’s Ian Bourne and Lucy Bourne are delighted to have been selected to work with Business West to deliver Specialist support to Gloucestershire’s businesses through the Superfast Business Programme. The Programme, being delivered in partnership with the Local Authority and with the support from GFirst LEP, Gloucestershire’s Local Enterprise Partnership, provides 12 hours of fully funded support to eligible county businesses to enable them to explore and embrace the opportunities associated with the latest technologies.

You can export tea to China is the message to Gloucestershire companies
As a Government initiative to encourage companies to export more products overseas, the UK Trade and Investment body (UKTI) and GFirst LEP (the Local Enterprise Partnership for Gloucestershire) brought together Gloucestershire’s most influential businesses in order to drive economic growth and exports, encourage and boost the county’s export performance, as well as give local companies an opportunity to network and learn from each other’s successes.

BIS representatives visit Gloucester for meeting on regenerating the high streets in the county
GFirst LEP (the Local Enterprise Partnership for Gloucestershire) hosted six Members of Parliament from the House of Commons Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) Select Committee in Gloucestershire today. The MPs visited the county to see firsthand GFirst LEP’s work as the national Retail Pathfinder. As the first organisation to be awarded Pathfinder status, GFirst LEP is supporting retail across the county and creating a blueprint for boosting town centres across the UK.
